THE LG ROLLABLE OLED DISPLAY
So your first question is, probably, how does this work?
According to Digital Trends, it’s pretty straightforward.
“This is how it works: a flexible OLED panel is mounted to a motorized spindle, set in a rectangular box. You can’t see the mechanics, all you see is the TV going up and down. But why would you want to be able to move your TV up and down like this?”
Essentially, it’s the ultimate hidden video technology. When you want to see it, you can simply tap a button and unroll the device. When you want to hide it, it disappears almost completely.
It solves a dilemma that many homeowners face – especially those with an eye for design.

But the applications of the rolling TV go beyond simply hiding it when you don’t want to use it.
The display is anamorphic, which means if you’re watching a widescreen movie (2.39:1 aspect ratio), you won’t have to see the black bars at the bottom and the top.
The TV can adjust in height to create the appropriate shape for your screen.
